Renovation Guide is a trading name of Lead Wise Pty Ltd. We operate a comparison and matching service that connects UK homeowners with MCS-certified solar panel installers so they can receive free, no-obligation quotes.

2. What data we collect
When you use our quote form, we collect the information you provide and some technical information automatically:
Information you give us
- Contact details: first name, last name, phone number and email address.
- Address details: your home address, town/city and postcode.
- Property & enquiry details: whether you are a homeowner or tenant, property type, approximate monthly electricity bill, whether you already have solar installed, and the type of solar setup you are interested in.
Information we collect automatically
- Technical & usage data: IP address, browser type, device information and the page you submitted from.
- Marketing attribution data: campaign tracking parameters such as UTM values,
and advertising click identifiers (for example
gclid,fbclidandttclid) used to understand which advert brought you to us. - Address lookup: when you type your address we use Google Places autocomplete to help you find it accurately.

4. Our lawful bases

- Consent — which you give when you tick/submit the form agreeing to be contacted by us and our installer partners. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve our service, provided your rights do not override those interests.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.
5. Who we share your data with
We share your data only where necessary to deliver the service you have requested. This includes:
- Solar installers and partners — matched MCS-certified installers (and, where relevant, an appointed introducer) who use your details to prepare and provide your quotes.
- Service providers that operate our systems on our behalf, including our website analytics and lead-management tools (such as Google Sheets and our CRM/webhook provider) and TikTok for advertising measurement.
- Regulators, law enforcement or professional advisers where we are legally required to do so.
6. Marketing & how to opt out
By submitting the form you agree to be contacted by Renovation Guide and its solar installation partners about quotes relevant to your enquiry, including by telephone and SMS. You can opt out of marketing at any time by:
- emailing us at hello@localrebate.com;
- telling any caller that you no longer wish to be contacted; or
- replying STOP to any SMS message.
7. International data transfers
As we are based in Australia and use service providers that may operate outside the UK, your data may be transferred to and stored in countries outside the UK. Where we do this, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses with an International Data Transfer Addendum) so your data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above — typically for the duration of your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle any follow-up, disputes or legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
